TRANSITION AT THE MUNICIPAL LEVEL FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF SOCIO-ECOLOGICAL RESILIENCE (ES)

Given the complexity of the global problems we face, a number of towns and cities are experimenting with approaches and tools based on the Transition Movement (linked to related movements such as degrowth, economy of the common good, ecovillages or permaculture), to help them move forward beyond the current paradigm, create a powerful vision based on local reality and trigger sustainable change.

This workshop aims to share existing practices of socio-ecological resilience at the municipal level that seek to address ecosocial problems such as climate change, the energy crisis or the increase of inequalities, and that are replicable and can serve as inspiration to all the participants. The overall goal is to facilitate networking and cooperative work, to generate successful, replicable examples.
